Vix Crosthwaite’s Story

Hey Ann! It’s Vix Crosthwaite, sorry I missed ur first class back…that’s when my little bundle decided to arrive! After finding out baby was breech the week before and a few false alarms we were booked for a section on the Wednesday 6th. Thinking I had a day to get some last minute bits, I went shopping to Liverpool on the Tuesday only to have my waters break in the middle of Wilkinsons! Got to the hospital as quick as I could and as i wasn’t contracting they put me on the maternity ward ready to have section the next day. Contractions started an hour later and with their being no gas and air on the ward I managed to cope with only 2 paracetamol and straw breathing (Burger King own individually wrapped straws 😜) for 4hours before going down for section. All the midwives complimented me on the straw technique and said that it was very clever. I’ll admit I was sceptical of it, I wanted drugs! but it worked fantastically and it really helped me focus on breathing through the contractions.

Sadie Faith Crosthwaite was born 5/7/16 9.37pm, 6lbs 11oz.

Thank you for all ur help and advice 😊👍🏻 I really enjoyed the classes and will miss my Tuesday night routine!!
