Sarah Jane Hoyle’s Birth Story

Sarah Jane Hoyle’s Birth Story   “Hi Ann, its Sarah Hoyle. I am glad to announce the arrival of Tabitha Mae Edwina O’sullivan on the twenty second of may at 15.57 weighing 5lbs 8ozs.  Tabitha came kicking and screaming into the world by cesarean section. I have to say a big thank you for all of the training given in the pregnancy yoga classes as I don’t think I would have gotten through the nerves of it all without the breathing techniques that I learnt over the weeks that I came. Although I was not in pain like an ordinary birth, staying calm before and during the operation was essential and I found that using the golden thread breath to slow my breathing down when I started to panic was amazingly helpful. I found the ujjiya breath helpful for this as well but especially when I was trying to move around again for the first type after the operation to control the pain and using positive affirmations with it to keep me feeling strong at times when Tabitha and I were struggling breastfeeding in those first few days.
Definitely make sure all the women coming to the class keep up with the birthing ball practices as I know that mine became invaluable to me in relieving discomfit throughout my pregnancy! Once again thank you for all the helpful advice and I cant wait to get back to a yoga class again soon.
Best wishes
Sarah Hoyle xxx”
