Louise Papapavlou’s Birth Story

Hi Ann,

I hope you are well.

Just wanted to let you know that I had a little girl on Saturday 24th February at 4.22am, weighing 6lb8 (still no name!).

A very quick labour, starting about 130 in the morning and I managed to control the pain using my handy straw and ocean breath (think that’s what it was called – tongue pushed to roof of mouth??). I found the best position to be in was leaning over my yoga ball, so kept diving down on to the floor.

Once we got to the hospital, it was a bit of a whirlwind and blur as the contractions came on very fast and baby was struggling to come out, so ended up having some help.

The breathing exercises really helped and even more so after the birth as I have been in quite a bit of pain since and have been using golden thread and ocean to breathe through the pain.

Thank you so much again for all your guidance and reassurance.

Wishing all the best to everyone, enjoy the rest of your yoga time.

Love Louise x
