Kate Davies Birth Story

Dear Ann

All I can say is thank you for the techniques and confidence I gained coming to your pregnancy yoga sessions for the past weeks. Without these sessions and your guidance and reassurance I don’t think I would have coped with the many hiccups that happened throughout my pregnancy. As I said last week, I used the breathing techniques initially when I experienced the turning of my soon to be little one due to baby being breech. Your ability to enable me to focus on something and breathe throughout the experience made the turning less painful than it should have been and the consultant and midwife present were astounded by how relaxed I was throughout. Unfortunately the turning wasn’t successful and I was booked in for an elective c section on Friday 12th may, this is not what me and my partner phil wanted but to guarantee the safe arrival of our little one we accepted it and made our way to the hospital first thing last Friday morning. Once again your techniques enabled me to stay focussed on something and I didn’t feel the pain of the epidural as much as was to be expected. Phil also used some techniques he gained during the birthing partner class and praised how calm I remained throughout.

Jude Alexander Davies Burton was delivered successfully via c section on Friday 12th May 2017 @ 10:55am weighing 7lb 12oz. He’s a little cutie with a full head of dark hair.

Thank you so much from the bottom of both mine and phils heart for making our delivery of our little boy an enjoyable one instead of the traumatic one I could imagine it to be if I hadn’t participated in your Yoga sessions.

Namaste 🙏

Kate, Phil and Jude.
